Hello everyone,

I apologise for my absence life has been very busy as of recent so I've not been able to draw much, or stalk other peoples art pages let alone submit much work I've been doing.

In an attempt to earn some monies (since I can't find any part time work :') ) I'm selling original works and am also opening commissions in intervals: keep an eye out for commission announcements on Facebook-I would wrote them on here but in the two times I've opened them they're gone in minutes!!!! Shock

I'm also considering selling prints of my Ryuko picture if anyone was interested (if not I'll be selling her for the asked price in the submission description) :
Ryuko by SirMimsyPompingdon

These are the images for sale if anyone's interested~ Prices will be noted in the description for anyone who's interested in purchasing one:

Ta Fatie by SirMimsyPompingdon  GIRL by SirMimsyPompingdon  Final Parade by SirMimsyPompingdon  Caster by SirMimsyPompingdon  LUVATORRRRRY! by SirMimsyPompingdon

(Note: the picture quality may not look amazing just because I don't have the world's most amazing camera if you're interested in a particular image further photos studying specific details can be taken)

Private messages on Facebook or Deviantart would be preferred if anyone had interest in one of the pictures.
The policy is first come first served, Paypal is the only method of payment I currently accept

Any further questions can be asked in the comments section :)

Artist Feature

4 min read
It's that time again! (well okay it's not a scheduled time but I'm doing my best to make these fairly frequent ;) )

Today's feature is of an artist I've actually been following for quite and while and whose work I've seen progress through the years ^_^

I don't want to give away everything in the introduction of this journal so let's get down to business-TO DEFEAT THE HUN! no, Mimsy tis' not the time for that

(goodness me ^^')

The artist being feature in this journal is truthfeina

And because I've already done a bit of an intro for this artist I'll just jump straight in with their works and what makes their art stand out amoungst the artist community ^_^

This artist's work is generally based on anime/manga style but has a specific style that is very unique to their individual drawing habits

What I particulary like about this individuals work is their attention to perspective, anatomy and detail. Their work contains an excellent balance of some of the main components of drawing which is what creates these awesome pieces of art

Observe how they capture these elements initially in simple sketches; these two really caught my eye.

This artist also has a talent for including backgrounds, buildings and objects in their images; these are features that many artists struggle to apply to their work or would otherwise individually specialize in (instead of focusing in drawing human figures)

And per usual (like I'm striving for in all my feature journals) I've included one of my favourite pieces by this artist.

I all honesty I had a difficult time deciding which piece by this artist was my favourite due to their copious number of entries in their gallery and soon I narrowed it down to this image and the image I put at the start of this journal.

I really like this piece because there is something about how the title matches the mood of the image that really gives you an insight into the artist and the emotion they put into this picture. I guess that sounds a bit airy fairy and I'm only assuming that they might've been feeling perhaps nostalgic or something at the time of creating this but what I do know is this image really stands out. The combination of it's simplicity and clever features such as the determined look on the characters face and the statement lines suggesting the character's partial presence creates an unexplained impact on the viewer. It is a piece that most definitely has to be given credit for.

Well that's the end of the artist feature! truthfeina has certainly received praise for their work though their receiving two daily deviations, but I wanted to share their work with my own watchers as I think you'll enjoy their art just as much as I do ^_^

This is a link to their page for the opportunity to look at their gallery: truthfeina.deviantart.com/

I hope people enjoy this feature Yato-Smileplz

Artist Feature

3 min read
Hello my lovely brethren of art ^_^

I'm finally free from the chains of study (although I'm already bored of not having any academic work to do ^^') I should probably focus a bit more on my art (or whatever you want to call it ^^') ~more chibi's are coming this summer ^_^~

As for now I've decided to make an effort of making fairly regular artist features
(I actually had a list of people I was planning to feature in the future, but I lost it! Terror..Ahhh..Onion )

Luckily I made a little note on computer of this artist, so here's the feature! Hope people enjoy it and please support the artist ^_^

The artist being featured in this journal is Gohpot

So I was casually browsing deviantart the other day, when I cam across this incredibly realistic image of Gumi (Vocaloid).

I was very impressed by how well the artist had captured the features through the use of lighting and blended colours. Not only that, the character's expression had many aesthetics to it as did the detail of the hair, it looks soft to the touch! (if this computer screen wasn't in the way...)

So I did a bit more browsing and found even more excellent pieces of work on this artist's profile!

This piece in particular contrasts the first image I found by the artist with use of darker lighting and a excellent perspective of someone lying on their front. There is even a slight hint of dynamism with the curtain fluttering in a night breeze adding to what I would describe as the serenity of the image (that sounded really pretentious...but I am Sir.Mimsy POMP-ingdon X'D)

I also found a more sketchy comic style image but even without the full extent of digital detail the artist boasts excellent representation of anatomy, as well as (once again) lighting and the use of shadows in their work.

And finally (as it seems to be trending at the end of my featured journals ^^') this is my favourite image in the artist's gallery.
I really like this image because the artist has gone for an angle looking up at the character which is quite difficult to create. Once again they have perfectly captured the lighting in the image and I must compliment the brighter colours they have used on the tips of the hair, making the image very realistic. I also love the background they've created; they must've been aware of my weakness for the 'painting style' effect that can be utilized in digital colouring as it's evident from the sky and the clothes that such a technique has been wonderfully executed.

Once again this artist has been severely deprived of watchers, so I ask that people check out their gallery and perhaps even give them a watch as I can see their work progressing greatly in the future ^_^

Well that's it, you can find the artist here:

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Thank you very much for taking the time to read this journal and appreciate this lovely work ^_^
